Kanger products are produced in China, and that shouldn’t be surprising given the fact that the first patent for electronic cigarettes were in China in the first place.
What’s surprising is the high quality of Kanger products, which just goes to show that “Made in China” doesn’t necessarily mean low-quality build.
Since most of their target customers are in Europe and North America, they unfailingly meet stringent CE and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) quality standards).
It may also surprise some people that Kanger has continuously been at the forefront of innovation in the vaping industry. They were among the first manufacturers to use cartomizers instead of refillable mouthpieces, and these cartomizers produced a much smoother hit.
With clearomizers, the e-liquid reservoirs were bigger and users were able to see just how much e-liquid was left in the tank. They also developed reusable clearomizers with matching batteries, so that there was no need for vaping mods to improve battery performance.
In this setup, atomizer coils can be replaced, so there’s no need to buy a whole new clearomizer when the atomizer burns out.
After that, they improved clearomizer performance by introducing the glassomizer, which replaced the plastic tank portion with Pyrex glass. This prevented the constant erosion caused by e-liquid acidity. With the release of the Protank 2, they introduced dual-coil atomizer heads that double the amount of vapor and increased the flavor of the hits.
Kanger is still going strong, and they’ve never stopped innovating. This can be seen in their top 3 tanks:
This revolutionary vaping machine is a glassomizer tank that’s quite versatile.
It features two coils and a Re-buildable Dripping Atomizer (RBA) that can be used with mechanical mods. The RBA allows for building customized atomizer coils or the ability to adjust the atomizer resistance that makes sub-ohm (less than 1 ohm) vaping possible.
The flavor is also more intense, and the vape is slightly warmer, which can better simulate the traditional experience of smoking a regular cigarette. However, the two coils also offer more possibilities. One is at 1.2 ohms and can be vaped on any battery. The other coil is at 0.5 ohms, which can be used for sub-ohm vaping.
The Kanger Subtank looks great, although for some it may seem somewhat heavy and bulky. But with the coils, it can hold up to 6 ml of e-liquid, and with the RBA, you still get 4.2 ml.
Installing the coils is easy enough, and in fact, you can also use your other Kanger coils if you have them lying around. Kanger has made it possible for you to mix and match components across different products.
However, using the RBA can get a bit more complicated, but it shouldn’t be all that difficult. And the flavor with the RBA can be much more intense.
With the use of the 1.2-ohm coil, vapor production and flavor were very impressive, but even these were improved by the use of the 0.5-ohm coil. The use of the RBA was also much more intense, but a distinct experience from the 0.5-ohm coil.
In the Subtank series, the Kanger Nano is the smallest. It should appeal to those who find the regular Subtank a tad too large.
And it also is ideal for those who don’t need the RBA, since the Nano already comes with the 0.5-ohm and the 1.2-ohm OCC coils. The lack of the RBA made this smaller size possible.
It still has a 3 ml e-liquid capacity, which is better than the Aspire Atlantis.
Ironically, the Nano is actually narrower and shorter than the Atlantis. The airflow is also much improved compared to the bigger Subtank models. The widest setting is comparatively larger, and there’s also a setting for an easier inhalation from mouth to lung.
The 1.2-ohm OCC coil produces an impressive amount of vapor, and it should satisfy you even if you don’t have the proper equipment for sub-ohm vaping. But if you do, the vapor and flavor of the 0.5-ohm coil are outstanding.
It compares to the performance of the other Subtanks, and it can dwarf the performance of the other sub-ohm tanks in the market today.
The Nano will look nice with mini box mods. It’s not so good-looking with a mech mod since it’s narrower than most maah batteries. For newbies, this can be a great start as the 1.2-ohm coil can work with 510-style E-GO thread batteries. And then afterward, they can then progress to sub-ohm vaping.
It’s essentially a reworking of the original Subtank with lots of improvements. Perhaps the most immediately noticeable difference is that the tank capacity is now 7 ml.
There were some complaints that the original Subtank had a tendency to leak. Kanger has addressed this issue by improving the O-rings and making them thicker. This provides a better seal, and your purchase also comes with spare O-rings.
So they made things easier this time. Now you’ll be able to insert the RBA section without the need first to unscrew the top of the tank. The RBA is also a bit smaller, so you get more e-liquid in the tank. The airflow holes are also longer and wider, so dry hits are less likely.
All in all, the airflow is improved with the Subtank Plus. It comes with two air holes that are always open on the sides of the tank. You get three different airflow settings to choose.

Like the original, it also comes with the parts needed to rebuild the RBA section. You also get an additional Pyrex glass tank. And of course, you still get the 2 OCC coils, with the 0.5-ohm coil already installed and the 1.2-ohm in reserve.
So there you have it. Choose any of these, and be on your merry vaping way. Whatever you do, just don’t go back to regular cigarettes! Regardless of what different people may think about vaping, everyone with half a brain knows just how stupid that option is.
