Maintenance And Cleaning

One of the things I love about this Firefly 2 is that it’s so easy to clean. This can’t be said the same about the DaVinci Ascent as we discuss in our pro and cons of that review. With the Firefly I can go for a long time between cleanings as it tends to burn immaculate.

You’ll get a bit of residue buildup on the window. With no screen in the bowl, you just use an alcohol wipe or a paper towel with some alcohol on it to wipe it out periodically. Simply wipe the vapor path on the lid and body after that, and you’ve just cleaned your Firefly 2 Portable Vaporizer. The same can be said in regards to cleaning a desktop vaporizer.

When timing the whole process, it only took me a minute to clean my Firefly 2. That’s pretty fast. I counted the bowls before I felt it necessary to clean it and that was 26. That’s when the buildup prevented the lid from sealing. I used my fingernail and scraped around in the bowl to make it seal and it again worked perfectly.

Battery Life

With my original Firefly, the battery was always running down. That was the biggest issue I had with it. My new Firefly 2 has even better heating efficiency and the battery life is 100 percent improved. It also has a backup battery so I never have to wait around to use it, I always have a battery at the ready.

I get six bowls per charge when I use the dry herbs now. I’ll take about six to eight draws per bowl for about 35 to 45 seconds each. If I’m using concentrate, the battery slows a bit, however. I feel that the battery lasts so much longer that I’m very satisfied.

Oh, did I mention that it only takes about 45 to 50 minutes for the battery to charge? That makes it an even sweeter deal. Within the first 20 minutes of charge, the battery reaches a whopping 80 percent charge, so it’s fast and efficient. You’ll love it. You can also get an external charger.

All in all, I felt that this newer model was well worth it and just what the Medical Marijuana Doctor ordered!  I’ll get a lot more use out of it, and it’s better quality. It offers me an incredible flavor and a cool vaping experience.

With the minimal need for maintenance and with maximum efficiency, I felt that the Firefly 2 Portable Vaporizer was a great value for my money and me hardly ever have to clean it or do any form of maintenance.
